Use of River Kabul as Instrument against Pakistan: Implications for Pakistan

Abstract
The vast majority of Pakistani people rely on agriculture to make a living. Pakistan is a water-stressed country. As a lower riparian country, Pakistan is facing water conflicts with its neighbors. In addition to the Indus River, the Kabul River plays a significant role in Pakistan's geography and economy. A plan of the Afghanistan government to build reservoirs on the Kabul River with India's technical and financial support will adversely affect Pakistan. The study will focus on the building of dams on the Kabul River as well as the Indian hegemonic strategy to support dam building on the Kabul River that flows into Pakistan, and its implications for Pakistan in detail.
