Intellectual property (IP) rights protection is a critical component of economic growth and innovation (Ahmad A. &., 2018). In the case of Pakistan, IP protection has been a significant challenge due to weak legal infrastructure, piracy, and counterfeiting of copyrighted and trademarked products. This research paper aims to explore the challenges and opportunities for intellectual property rights protection in Pakistan. It is an attempt to understand the factors that affect IP protection in Pakistan and to provide recommendations for policymakers and stakeholders to strengthen the IP legal framework. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the existing IP laws and regulations in Pakistan and evaluates their effectiveness. Additionally, it examines the root causes of IP violations, including legal loopholes, weak law enforcement, and the lack of awareness among the general public. The study also analyses the impact of piracy and counterfeiting on Pakistan's economy, and it highlights the benefits of a stronger IP protection regime in the country. The research paper concludes by providing recommendations to improve IP protection in Pakistan. The recommendations include the need to strengthen the legal framework for IP protection, enhance public awareness of IP rights, and improve enforcement mechanisms to deter IP violations. The proposed solutions aim to create a favorable environment for innovation and economic growth, while also promoting creativity and culture in Pakistan.
