Genetic Improvement of Protease Enzyme Productivity from Novel Bacillus Isolates
Bacillus licheniformis was a good bacterial isolate as producer of protease enzyme, its productivity for the enzyme enhanced and improved via UV irradiation for different time periods. Forty eight mutants resulted from UV irradiation were higher enzyme producers than WT after 24h of incubation. Forty eight mutants were tested for their enzyme productivity by colorimetric determination total protein analysis; four were the best producers 2, 4, 15 and 26. The best four producer mutants were compared and analyzed against each other and against WT by total cellular protein molecular analysis via SDS-PAGE.
