The Conceptualization of Entrepreneurial Capital Construct from Entrepreneurship and Institutional Theories

Abstract
The role of institutions in promoting or inhibiting business is at the core of the entrepreneurship debate. This review paper focuses on the significance of formal and informal institutions in the much broader construct of entrepreneurial capital development. For this purpose, the paper first reviews and illustrates different definitional perspectives of entrepreneurship theories and how institution theory is relevant to entrepreneurship, before elaborating on the main focus of the paper, i.e., entrepreneurial capital.
