Relationship of Job Resources and Personal Resources with Work Engagement of Secondary School Teachers

Abstract
The main purpose of this study was to explore the relationship of job and personal resources with work engagement of teachers. Participants were 935 (female = 460 & male = 475) secondary school teachers of Punjab Province. Data were collected through survey method by using three instruments: job resources, personal resources and work engagement. Inferential statistics and Structural Equation Modeling were used to find the results. Results indicated that job resources and personal resources have positive and significant relationship with work engagement. Personal resources partially mediate the path between job resources and work engagement. School management might increase job resources as a tool to boost teacher’ self-evaluation traits and work engagement. Findings are discussed and future researches have also been suggested in this study.
