Job Satisfaction and Organization Citizenship Behavior: An Empirical Study of Public Sector of Pakistan

Abstract
Employee job satisfaction is the balance between what employees anticipate from the company and the benefits they get, both financial and non-financial. Organizational citizenship is the employee's additional contribution to the organization above and beyond the necessary job level. The study aimed to explore the relationship between Job Satisfaction (JS) and Organization Citizenship Behavior (OCB) in the public sector of Pakistan. The public sector is presumed as an imperative pillar for the growth and development of any country. This research also investigates the impact of the work environment on public employee job satisfaction, relating work context features to particular job qualities that serve as significant antecedents of job satisfaction. To achieve the objectives of the research, a model is designed to examine the relationship. Results indicated a strong correlation (r=0.503, p<0.001) between (JS) and (OCB). Organizations must focus on Self-actualization, Social Satisfaction Professionalism to enhance (OCB).
