Impact of Shared Leader on Project Success with the Mediating Role of Team Cohesion and Moderating Role of Task Interdependence

Abstract
This study examines the impact of task-oriented and relationship-oriented shared leadership on project success in the IT sector of Pakistan. Data was collected from project team members in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, where 400 questionnaires were distributed and 330 completed responses were collected. The study used SPSS for data analysis. The findings indicate that both task-oriented and relationship-oriented shared leadership have a significant impact on project success. The study also highlights the mediating role of team cohesion and the moderating role of task interdependence in the relationship between shared leadership and project success. These results have important implications for project managers and leaders in the IT sector of Pakistan, providing insights into effective leadership styles and strategies for achieving project success.
