Career Plateau and Organizational Citizenship Behavior: The Moderating Role of Islamic Work Ethics

Abstract
The current study intended to examine the impact of career plateau on organizational citizenship behavior, further, the moderating role of Islamic work ethics has been investigated in the link between career plateau and OCB. The target population of the study was the medical doctors working in teaching hospitals located in Mardan and Nawshera. Adopting the non-probability purposive sampling technique the 257 respondents participated in the study. SPSS and Micro Process were used for analysis. The obtained results showed the indirect relationship between career plateau and OCB. Similarly, the moderating of IE was also confirmed. The novelty of this study was the moderating role of IWE which contributed to the literature significantly. This study suggests that IWE plays a vital role in mitigating the effect of career plateau on OCB.
